Zen Campfire respects the trust involved when you share your contact information, personal experiences, and questions with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Zen Campfire, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, mailing address, and contact preferences.
- Membership and transaction information, such as subscription status, payment date, and amount paid.
- Information you choose to provide through questionnaires, contact forms, emails, or questions submitted for guidance, including age or year of birth, life context, interests, and personal experiences.
- Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, and site activity used for security, operation, and analytics.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Zen Campfire does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Stripe may provide us with transaction details, billing contact information, subscription status, and limited payment information needed to administer your membership. Stripe handles information under its own privacy terms.
How we use information
- To provide and administer your membership and mailed Campfire materials.
- To send requested books, newsletters, membership messages, and service notices.
- To respond to questions, support requests, cancellations, and address changes.
- To protect the site, prevent misuse, maintain records, and meet legal obligations.
- To understand and improve Zen Campfire.
Questions and personal submissions
Questions and experiences voluntarily submitted to Zen Campfire may be anonymously adapted, condensed, or combined with other material for future teachings, including print, digital, books, audio, and video. We will not intentionally publish your name, contact information, account information, or details that reasonably identify you without separate permission.
You may ask us not to use a submission by contacting us before it has been published or irreversibly anonymized and combined with other material.
Email and service providers
We use service providers to operate Zen Campfire. These may include WordPress and Hostinger for the website and hosting, Forminator and Hostinger tools for forms, AWeber for email delivery and list management, Stripe for payments, and security or analytics providers. They may process information only as needed to provide their services or meet legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
Zen Campfire may use necessary cookies for site functions and security, along with limited analytics that help us understand site performance and general usage. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional email through the link in any such message. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we maintain, subject to records we must retain for legal or legitimate business purposes. Privacy rights may vary by location.
Children
Zen Campfire is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The effective date above will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated when reasonably appropriate.
